Our Commitment — Dentistry Vantage is committed to providing a safe, respectful and supportive educational environment for young people. Our programmes are designed for students aged 14–18, safeguarding is considered throughout planning and delivery, and the welfare and best interests of the young person come first.

Safeguarding Lead — Safeguarding responsibility is currently held by Asfi Ghauri. Email: hello@futuredentistacademy.com. A named safeguarding contact will be available during each in-person programme. Enhanced DBS — Dentistry Vantage founder Asfi Ghauri holds an Enhanced DBS certificate. An Enhanced DBS check forms one part of safer recruitment and does not replace appropriate supervision, identity checking, professional boundaries, safeguarding procedures, risk assessment or role-appropriate checks for faculty and staff. Our Safeguarding Approach — We aim to put welfare first, maintain adult-student boundaries, recruit suitable faculty, avoid unnecessary isolated one-to-one contact, provide supervision, risk-assess activities, use age-appropriate teaching, manage photography responsibly, use appropriate communication channels, respond promptly to concerns and involve authorities where necessary. Staff & Faculty Conduct — Adults must treat students respectfully, maintain professional boundaries and use appropriate language. They must not pursue inappropriate personal relationships, establish secret communication, make inappropriate sexual or personal comments, provide alcohol or illegal substances, use threatening or discriminatory behaviour, or exploit their position. Communication With Students — For under-18s, important booking and programme communication will normally be directed through a parent or legal guardian. Faculty should not establish private communication through personal social-media accounts or messaging services. One-to-One Situations — Isolated, unsupervised one-to-one situations will be avoided wherever reasonably possible; individual feedback should normally occur in an open, visible or supervised environment. Arrival and Departure — Procedures will be provided before attendance. Parents may be asked to confirm collection arrangements, independent departure permission, emergency contacts and travel details. Practical Dental Activities — Supervised educational activities may include dental simulation, models, case discussion, X-ray interpretation and practical exercises. Students will not provide dental treatment to real patients as part of any Dentistry Vantage experience. Activities are adapted according to age, ability, facilities, equipment, instructor judgement and safety requirements. Health & Safety and Medical Information — Activities are planned and risk assessed. Parents may be asked for limited relevant allergy, medical, accessibility, support and emergency information, handled sensitively and shared only where necessary. Photography & Video — Parent or guardian consent will be sought for identifiable promotional photography or video of under-18s; consent is optional and student wishes are respected. Bullying, Harassment & Discrimination — We do not tolerate bullying, harassment, racism, sexism, discriminatory behaviour, intimidation or humiliating treatment. If a Student Raises a Concern — Staff should listen calmly, take concerns seriously, avoid leading questions, not promise complete confidentiality, explain that information may need to be shared, record relevant facts and report promptly. Responding to Concerns — Information may be shared with children’s social care, safeguarding professionals, police, a school, a regulator, the DBS or another appropriate organisation where necessary and legally permitted. A young person’s safety takes priority over reputation. Online Sessions — Professional platforms and appropriate access controls should be used; unnecessary private messaging should be avoided.
